  16 ENGLISH STORIES Sir I Love You..! Sir I Love You..! Editors Note   I began writing 25 years ago. It is a collection of 16 short stories focused on the most basic human emotions and mental states: love, fear, anger, joy, grief, sadness, and surprise. I created characters that would feel relatable. From Suresh, the romantic courting unrequited love, to Divya, the young girl who navigates the messy separation of her parents. Through different twists and turns, the characters slowly build upon themselves until the end, when a truth is finally revealed. Much of the book is based on my observations as a young man in Sri Lanka and then as an immigrant and father in Canada. From time to time, I was also inspired by daily news stories or documentaries that I found interesting.
